The Serbia–North Macedonia Business Forum will gather 300 entrepreneurs from over 200 companies in Skopje, aiming to enhance existing business relationships, establish new connections, and define future directions of economic cooperation between the two countries. The meeting of Serbian and North Macedonian business leaders will be led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Serbia Adrijana Mesarović and Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski.
The event, held at the Aleksandar Palace Hotel, will bring together institutional representatives and numerous companies with the goal of promoting collaboration in trade, manufacturing, and investment, as well as creating new opportunities for business networking.
The forum is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in cooperation with the business community of North Macedonia.
Serbia and North Macedonia maintain traditionally close economic relations, evidenced by a trade growth of over half a billion euros in the past five years.
During the first nine months of 2025, bilateral trade between Serbia and North Macedonia reached 1.12 billion euros, which is 101.4 million euros higher than the same period in 2024.
Exports in this period were valued at 804.8 million euros, 109.4 million euros (15.7%) more than the same period last year. Meanwhile, imports fell by 8 million euros, totaling 317.3 million euros, a 2.46% decrease compared to the first nine months of 2024.
The trade surplus between Serbia and North Macedonia during the first nine months of 2025 amounted to 487.5 million euros, an increase of 117.4 million euros compared to 370.1 million euros in the same period last year.
In Serbia’s total exports in 2024, North Macedonia ranked 12th, accounting for 3.2% of total exports. In terms of imports from North Macedonia, the country ranked 24th, representing 1.1% of Serbia’s total imports.
In 2024, 4,438 Serbian businesses engaged in foreign trade with North Macedonia. By the end of October 2025, 1,066 business entities with majority ownership by North Macedonian legal or natural persons were registered in Serbia.
