Serbia offers special housing and cash loans for low-income employees and pensioners

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced that banks will offer special loans for employees with monthly incomes up to 100,000 dinars and pensioners, valid for at least 12 months until September 15.

  • Cash and consumer loans: Up to 1,000,000 dinars with an interest rate 3 percentage points below the bank’s average, with a minimum of 7.5%.
  • Refinancing loans: No limit on amount, interest rate 3 percentage points below the bank’s average, minimum 7.5%. Pensioners can access these loans with included life insurance, with a minimum rate of 10.5%.
  • Special housing loans: For first-time homebuyers earning up to 100,000 dinars per month, with interest rates up to 0.5 percentage points below the bank’s average for housing loans.
  • No processing fees: Banks will not charge fees for loan applications under this program.

The NBS emphasized that all types of loans will be offered for at least 12 months, giving citizens time to plan and decide. Interested borrowers can check specific offers directly on individual bank websites.

The program follows an NBS analysis of credit conditions, aiming to provide more favorable loan terms for low-income citizens and pensioners.
