Expo 2025 officially opened in Osaka, Japan, drawing global attention, and among the many national exhibits, the Republic of Serbia’s pavilion quickly became one of the most visited. Finance Minister Siniša Mali announced that visitors were lining up in large numbers to experience what Serbia had to offer.
“We are very proud of the interactive concept of our pavilion, which centers around the theme of play—also the central theme of Expo Belgrade 2027,” said Mali in a post on Instagram. “Through this approach, we’ve managed to highlight important figures from Serbian history and their achievements in a fun and engaging way.”
The opening day saw tens of thousands of visitors, with long queues forming even before the gates officially opened. Mali emphasized that the interest in Serbia’s pavilion reflects the country’s growing visibility and influence on the global stage.
“Today, Osaka is the center of the world—just as Belgrade will be in 2027!” he concluded.
