Minister of Finance Siniša Mali presented a draft proposal at the Social and Economic Council’s Collegium meeting outlining the planned growth of Serbia’s minimum wage, aiming to reach 650 euros by the end of 2027. The official proposal is expected to be finalized and announced by mid-June.

Currently, the minimum wage stands at 53,592 dinars (approximately 457 euros), following a 13.7% increase in January 2025.

Mali emphasized the goal to minimize the number of people earning the minimum wage and to improve the overall standard of living by continuing wage growth. He also highlighted the current unemployment rate of 9.1% in Q1 2025, with a target to reduce it alongside an average salary of around 1,400 euros by 2027.
