The Government of Serbia held a meeting of the Social-Economic Council to discuss the government’s proposal to increase the country’s minimum wage, Finance Minister Siniša Mali announced.

He stated that the final decision on the wage increase will be made at the upcoming Social-Economic Council session within the next two weeks.

President Aleksandar Vučić recently expressed confidence that employers will accept the minimum wage increase, adding that the government will bear a significant part of the financial burden.
