Serbia plans to reduce the fiscal deficit to 3.9% in 2012

Serbia’s Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said that the Serbian government is preparing the budget for next year carefully, reducing the fiscal deficit from the current 4.5 to 3.9% of gross domestic product (GDP).

Speaking at the celebration of the 90th anniversary of postal savings bank Postanska stedionica, Cvetkovic said that in making the economic policy for next year, the government will respect the legally established limit of state borrowing and planned economic growth of 3%.
