Serbia, Public debt in January was 50.2 percent of GDP

The public debt of Serbia at the end of January this year amounted to 34.35 billion euros, which is 50.2 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday.

At the end of 2022, the public debt was around 33.33 billion euros, or 55.1 percent of GDP.

At the end of 2021, Serbia’s public debt amounted to 30.13 billion euros, which was 56.5 percent of GDP.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Serbia had a budget surplus of 6.1 billion dinars in January, the Ministry of Finance announced today.

Revenues of 150.3 billion dinars were collected, of which 136 billion dinars were taxes.
