The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (RZS) reported that real gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year. Seasonally adjusted data shows a GDP increase of 0.6% compared to the previous quarter.
By sector, the most significant real growth in gross value added in Q3 2025, compared to the same period last year, was recorded in the industry and water supply & wastewater management sector at 2.9%, and in the information and communications sector at 6%.
Conversely, real declines were observed in the construction sector, down 11.7%, and in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, down 0.2%.
Analyzing GDP by expenditure categories, in Q3 2025 compared to the same period last year:
- Household final consumption expenditure increased by 3.4%
- Final consumption of non-profit institutions serving households (NPISH) rose by 3.6%
- Government final consumption grew by 3.9%
- Exports of goods and services increased by 4.2%
- Imports of goods and services rose by 5.2%
However, gross fixed capital formation experienced a real decline of 2.1%.
