The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has issued a public call for expressions of interest in providing consulting services for the reconstruction of the 93-kilometer railway line from Pančevački most to the Romanian border, passing through Pančevo Glavna and Vršac.

The project, which is part of railway line no. 107 connecting Belgrade to Romania, aims to modernize the railway and improve infrastructure to accommodate speeds of up to 160 km/h. It is part of Serbia’s broader efforts to enhance its railway network with financing from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the French Development Agency (AFD).

Services required include the creation of a spatial plan, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments. The modernization will include the construction of a new Pančevo Banat station, track doubling, modernization of signaling, electrification and improved safety measures at level crossings. It will also involve replacing or repairing bridges, culverts, and the renovation of station buildings.
