The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced that on September 15, 2025, its instant payment system (IPS NBS) processed 497,287 transactions totaling 6.69 billion dinars, setting a new daily record since the system’s launch.
The NBS instant payment system operates 24/7, 365 days a year, providing one of the most advanced payment methods globally. It allows citizens and businesses to make fast and easy payments from anywhere at any time, including weekends and holidays, with funds reaching the recipient within seconds.
The system began operating on October 22, 2018, and has been highly successful, with a steadily increasing number of transactions, demonstrating widespread recognition of its convenience and efficiency among Serbian citizens and businesses.
