Serbia strengthens trade ties with China at Beijing Supply Chain Fair

On the first day of the Third China International Supply Chain Fair in Beijing, over 100 meetings were held between Serbian and Chinese companies, said Marko Čadež, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS).

Čadež highlighted a key meeting with Yang Jiangbo, Vice President of Alibaba Cloud, where they discussed strategic cooperation. Alibaba Cloud is considering establishing infrastructure in Serbia to serve the entire European market, positioning Serbia as a key location for cloud solutions.

He emphasized that the numerous meetings and concrete discussions reflect the strong ties between China and Serbia. Čadež noted that China views Serbia not only as a unique market but also as a logistics hub for Europe. The Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and China is opening significant opportunities for Serbian companies to export to China.

Serbian companies participating in the fair have scheduled meetings with leading Chinese partners, and the Serbian delegation is also engaging with Chinese customs officials to streamline procedures and enhance the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement for Serbian products.
