The Belgrade-Nis railway will be completely finished by 2027, and until then we will go in sections, so it will take 20 minutes to reach Velika Plana, said today the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who emphasized that the Prokop station building will be completed by 20 October – Belgrade Liberation Day.
“In four years, here we are in an hour and a half from Belgrade to Niš,” the President of Serbia told reporters after the signing of the contract for the first tranche of the investment grant for the construction of the Belgrade-Niš high-speed railway as part of the financial package for railway Corridor 10. “Station building will be completed by October 20.
For the Liberation Day of Belgrade, we are opening the Prokop station building – a magnificent building that will have top restaurants”, said Vučić and emphasized that large and powerful companies will open their space there and emphasized that that part of the city will become as powerful as Belgrade on the water and that those two units should spread together towards the fair, keeping Hall one, which will be protected.
The president said this when asked when Prokop will be completed and how important it is for the citizens and the railway and what kind of investments have been made in the railway infrastructure. “The new bus station on 20,000 square meters will be magnificent, wondrous, and will increase the price of square meters in that part of New Belgrade,” said the president, adding that it will be fully built by 2024 and will be opened in a few months.
The president said that the section Valjevo-Vrbnica in length of 209 kilometers to the Montenegrin border must also be considered. He added that the Europeans are interested in that section, which was previously negotiated with the Russians.
“It will be a difficult game, we have to see what is best for us, but I think it is difficult than any of the Europeans can give better conditions”, said the president and emphasized that the EU aid of 610 million is a huge help for Serbia.
The goal is to make additional improvements towards Vršac, towards Kikinda, working towards Sombor, Stalac. Kraljevo must be done, because all that is very important, when you come to Djunis to go to Niš and Kraljevo. It will be an excellent connection with Kraljevo, which is important for cargo traffic, said the president.
