At the “Synergy 24” conference in Belgrade, Dr. Mihailo Jovanović, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, announced that a new AI-powered chatbot would be introduced on the eGovernment Portal in collaboration with Microsoft. The chatbot, utilizing advanced generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and cloud technologies, aims to offer citizens a new level of electronic services.
Developed with cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Azure Open AI, the chatbot is designed according to the principles of responsible AI, focusing on transparency, fairness, and user privacy. It will provide quick, accurate answers to inquiries and assist users in navigating eGovernment services, making information and services more accessible anytime, anywhere.
Jovanović also highlighted Serbia’s progress in digitalization, noting the opening of the Microsoft Campus in Belgrade, which will employ over 800 people. He emphasized the crucial role of Microsoft in supporting Serbia’s digital transformation over the past eight years, contributing to the country’s leadership in digitalization and AI in Southeast Europe.
Jovanović further shared that Serbia’s ICT services exports reached 2.966 billion euros in the first nine months of this year, with a surplus of 2.319 billion euros. He expressed optimism that the total export for 2024 would reach a record 4 billion euros.
