According to the latest decision of the European Commission, Serbia, along with Israel, the United States and New Zealand, received a permit to export seedlings and planting material to the EU market, the Ministry of Agriculture told Tanjug.
“This is an important and exclusive decision, which is confirmed by the fact that no other country in the world outside the European Union has that possibility,” the Ministry states.
The reason for making such a decision is the top quality of fruit seedlings produced in Serbia, the proven readiness of Serbian institutions to maintain a high level of quality of produced planting material, as well as the hard work of the Ministry during the corona pandemic because there was a danger of inability to sell, Novosti reports.
