Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Dragan Glamočić met with the Ambassador of Brazil, José Mauro da Fonseca Costa Couto, to discuss strengthening agricultural cooperation, technology exchange, and trade ties between Serbia and Brazil.
Glamočić emphasized the positive bilateral relations based on mutual respect and international law, highlighting Brazil’s global leadership in agricultural production and innovation as a valuable partnership opportunity for Serbia.
Serbia expressed strong interest in closer collaboration with Brazilian institutions, companies, and research centers, particularly in areas such as livestock, seed production, and renewable energy in agriculture.
The Brazilian delegation shared insights on Brazil’s agricultural transformation, stressing the importance of scientific research and continued investment in education and innovation.
The two sides agreed to continue technical-level discussions to define specific cooperation projects.
The Ministry stated that Brazil remains a key partner in Serbia’s efforts to strengthen international agricultural cooperation.
