The Center for Business Initiatives and Quick Solutions of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation and dialogue with domestic pellet producers and relevant institutions, will find a sustainable solution for domestic pellet production, announced the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS).

Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, highlighted during the second meeting of the Center that this operational body has already achieved initial results and is actively working to find systemic solutions. These include supporting domestic pellet producers, accelerating the issuance of building permits, educating designers to complete project documentation, and addressing issues in the labor market.

During the meeting at PKS, domestic pellet producers proposed the urgent adoption of a Regulation on Pellet Quality, increasing the capacity of domestic laboratories to regulate the market, enable inspections, and eliminate unfair competition.

Domestic pellet producers believe that the lifting of the temporary ban on pellet imports, effective March 3 of this year, will further increase the problems faced by companies operating in this sector.

Adrijana Mesarović, Minister of Economy in the technical mandate, emphasized her readiness to assist domestic pellet producers and announced a meeting within the next couple of days with pellet producers, representatives of PKS, and relevant institutes. The goal is to hear the business sector’s proposals and find quality solutions.
