Delegations of the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) have signed a memorandum of understanding in Belgrade.
As part of the procedure of concluding a new inter-governmental agreement on air transport, the memorandum certifies the rights of certain airline companies in direct air transport or commercial transport arrangements, the Civil Aviation Directorate said in a statement on Tuesday.
On behalf of the two aviation authorities, the document was signed by Acting Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia Mirjana Cizmarov and CAAC Deputy Administrator Wang Zhiqing.
The two officials also discussed many other current issues related to Serbian-Chinese ties in the air transport sector.
Besides aviation officials, the meeting was attended by Serbia’s Assistant Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zoran Ilic, as well as by representatives of Air Serbia and Air China. The CAAC delegation was also received at Air Serbia by CEO Dane Kondic.
The meeting highlighted the two airline companies’ extraordinary interest and readiness with respect to establishing commercial cooperation as soon as possible, the statement said.
