Serbian companies have agreed on deals worth two million euros at an online organic production fair

Companies from Serbia that participated in the first digital fair of organic production BIOFACH 2021 eSpecial realized more than 315 meetings with potential buyers, and the value of the agreed deals is around two million euros, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia announced.
Nine companies presented themselves at the fair under the slogan “We speak organic”, which promoted quality organic products in an innovative way, through a digital format, which was very noticeable and interested the partners.
Organic products from fresh, dried, lyophilized and frozen fruits, vegetables, cereals to various types of jams were presented within the digital National Stand.
Ecoagri Serbia Bela Crkva, Drenovac Arilje, All Natural Foods Nova Pazova, Menex Krusevac, Master Food Uzice, ITN Group and AWISS Belgrade, Interfood 60 Cacak, Frutorga Prokuplje presented their offer at the online fair from February 17 to 19.
The virtual appearance of our companies at the BIOFACH eSpecial 2021 fair was organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) with the support of the Swiss Export Promotion Program (SIPPO) and in cooperation with the National Association for Organic Production Serbia Organica and the Serbian Development Agency (RAS).
– This year, we presented the products to potential customers around the world in digital format, which gives us a chance for an even larger number of interested partners and visitors to the fair to get acquainted with our offer – said Momcilo Paunovic, CEO of Frutorga.
The company Ecoagri Serbia has been participating in BIOFACH within the National Stand of Serbia since 2019. Nada Berkes from this company points out that the coronavirus pandemic deprived the fair atmosphere live, but that, with the support of PKS and SIPPO programs, they managed to adapt and manage in the new digital format.
The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia points out that they are satisfied with the presentation of domestic producers at this digital fair.
– The great success of our companies, at this year’s special, which was organized virtually, is a confirmation of the growing development of the organic sector of Serbia, which is gaining in importance, because organic agricultural production is the future that has no alternative – says Bojana Lalovic from PKS.
The online platform gathered 1,442 exhibitors from all over the world, as well as more than 14,000 visitors from 136 countries, within individual and joint virtual stands, eKapija reports.
