The Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) yesterday invited domestic companies to apply for participation in “YugBuild 2013” by 15 October, adding that this is of the most important construction trade shows and will be held in Krasnodar from 27 February to 2 March 2013.

SIEPA recalls in a statement that at this year’s Krasnodar fair, which was held on 14,164 square metres, a total of 594 exhibitors from 14 states presented their companies to more than 15,000 visitors, which is a considerable increase in relation to 2011.

Krasnodar is located in south-western Russia, a region which marks a growth in GDP three times higher than the average GDP in Russia, and the construction industry participates with 28% in it.

The facts that Russia will host the World Football Championship in 2018 and that Sochi will be the host of the 2014 Winter Olympics are viewed by SIEPA as opportunities for large investments in Krasnodar.

Moreover, over the next two years the construction of 26,000 hotel rooms in Sochi is anticipated, with a tendency to increase the capacity to 31,000.

This year Serbia participated in Krasnodar’s “YugBuild” for the first time and its national stand offered Serbian products and services presented by ten Serbian companies.
