Serbian dinar remains stable against euro in April, with a 0.2% depreciation since January

The value of the Serbian dinar against the euro remained nearly unchanged in April, while since the beginning of the year, a nominal depreciation of the dinar against the euro of 0.2% was recorded, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced.

In April, the central bank purchased a net 45 million euros on the interbank foreign exchange market, while since the start of the year, it has net sold 910 million euros to maintain the relative stability of the dinar’s exchange rate against the euro, according to Tanjug.

The volume of foreign exchange trading on the interbank market in April amounted to 738.8 million euros, which was 68.6 million euros higher than the previous month. In the first four months of the year, interbank trading reached a total of 2.887 billion euros.
