Serbian Economy Minister celebrates first shipment to China under Free Trade Agreement

Adrijana Mesarović, Serbia’s Minister of Economy, announced that the first container of Serbian products was officially received in Xiamen, China. This shipment was sent from Serbia following the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

Mesarović emphasized that this container also carries a message of friendship, respect, and trust, highlighting the strong and enduring partnership between Serbia and China, firmly established by the President of Serbia.

She noted that this policy is now yielding tangible results by opening new markets for Serbian producers, strengthening economic exchange, and positioning Serbia as a reliable partner.

“I am proud that this project, initiated by former Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, has been realized, and that as a team we are working in Serbia’s interest for further economic growth,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

The exported products, ranging from wine and brandy to honey and jams, showcase the quality and authenticity of Serbian agriculture and food industry. Mesarović stated this is just the beginning of expanding trade relations with China.
