Serbian medical economy at the World Exhibition in Dubai

More than 130 businessmen and 70 companies from the medical economy sector will participate in “Expo 2020 Dubai”, where they will promote their achievements and innovations until February 5, within the 7th thematic week dedicated to health, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) announced today.
According to the statement, the Serbian business delegation will include domestic producers and distributors of medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, companies engaged in research and innovation in the field of health, as well as rehabilitation centers, and an investment conference dedicated to investing in spas and medical tourism of Serbia.
Secretary of the Association for Pharmacy and Medical Activities of PKS Mirjana Vučićević stated that this thematic week at the World Exhibition is a great opportunity for the Serbian medical economy to present itself to the world, get acquainted with innovations and trends in the global market, and connect with business partners from the United States. Of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries participating in the Expo.
“Dubai and the UAE are a logistics center for the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia region that ‘serves’ billions of consumers, which is a great opportunity for our healthcare companies to successfully position themselves in these markets, but also attract investors to Serbia,” Vučićević added.
In a statement, PKS adds that in addition to the economy in Dubai, there are representatives of the Development Agency of Serbia, more than 20 professors and scientists, 14 higher education institutions and institutes, including the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biology, Belgrade, Kragujevac Medical Faculty, Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, INEP, Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering and others.
It is added that Serbian highly qualified and specialized laboratories for technical testing and analysis in the pharmaceutical industry, reference laboratories for microbiological and molecular diagnostic RT-PCR testing, and orthodontic laboratories will also use the opportunity for promotion and business arrangements.
“Participation in ‘Expo 2020 Dubai’ our businessmen began with a visit to the Business Hub of Serbia, where they got acquainted with the business culture of the Middle East, business conditions and opportunities in these markets through presentations of PKS representatives and successful businessmen from Serbia in the UAE,” Beta reports.
