Serbian Construction Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said on Monday that 320 kilometers of highways have been built in the country since 2014, restoring the transit traffic which avoided its bad roads for years.
She told O2 TV that the Corridor 10 roads have been finished this year. “Thanks to the opening of new highway sections, the number of vehicles passing through Serbia has increased from 34 million in 2012 to almost 60 million this year,” Mihajlovic said.
The Construction Minister said that Serbia will build six new highways, two of which have been started with two more expected to be started by the end of the year. “We are preparing to start a completely new project, the so-called Sumadija Corridor as well,” she said.
