The Serbian pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka has already attracted over 700,000 visitors, a number initially projected for the entire six-month duration of the event. The expo, which opened in April, will run until October 13.

The high level of visitor interest suggests that at least one million people are expected to visit the Serbian pavilion by the end of the exhibition. The pavilion is designed as a meeting point with Serbia in distant Japan, giving visitors and potential investors the opportunity to explore what the country has to offer, with a particular focus on economic opportunities and investment in innovative technologies.

Japan, as the world’s third-largest economy and a leader in technology, robotics, automotive and mechanical industries, electronics, and medical research, represents an important partner for Serbia. Japanese companies contribute to environmental improvement, pollution and waste reduction, and the development of healthcare, transportation, and agriculture. Serbia and Japan maintain traditionally friendly relations, further confirmed by Japan’s participation in the upcoming specialized Expo in Belgrade in 2027, which has already confirmed the participation of 119 countries.
