Serbian President announces significant pension increase

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced a major pension increase, bringing good news to pensioners across the country. Currently, the average pension stands at €426, but with the planned raise of around 8 to 9 percent, pensions are expected to increase by approximately €40, raising the average pension to about €465.

Speaking on TV Pink’s “Hit Tvit” show, Vučić highlighted the upcoming pension hike and also reminded viewers that before 2012, the average pension was only €202.

He emphasized that pensions will continue to rise because, until now, they have not kept pace with wages as they should have.
