Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, on a working visit to Japan, met with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo to discuss strengthening political relations, mutual support on the international stage, and opportunities to increase Japanese investment in Serbia.
Vučić highlighted that the meeting focused on political dialogue, economic development, and cooperation in areas vital to Serbian citizens, including modernization of the economy, technology exchange, innovation, and environmental protection.
He emphasized Japan as a model for Serbia in building a strong and successful state through dedication, responsibility, and discipline. Vučić expressed confidence that the discussions would contribute to job creation, economic growth, and greater economic stability in Serbia, reinforcing a partnership based on mutual trust and respect.
During his visit, Vučić also met with Emperor Naruhito on September 14.
