Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that he will present an important economic program affecting the majority of Serbian citizens on September 17–19.
Vučić highlighted key achievements, including a 12% pension increase starting December 1 and the opening of the Belgrade–Subotica railway, which will allow travel in just 70 minutes. He emphasized that these accomplishments address long-standing issues and are the result of listening to citizens’ concerns.
Regarding recent economic measures, Vučić noted that price controls and margin limits on over 20,000 products will help citizens save, with individual savings reaching up to 1,000 dinars per shopping trip. He stressed that the government’s focus is on improving citizens’ everyday lives, enabling them to spend more on family, leisure, and local activities, while countering criticism from opposition groups.
