Serbia’s consumer prices increase by 4.3% in December 2024

In December 2024, consumer prices in Serbia rose by 4.3% compared to the same month the previous year, according to the Republic Statistical Office (RZS).

From November 2024 to December 2024, consumer prices increased by an average of 0.1%.

For the entire year of 2024, compared to 2023, consumer prices saw an average increase of 4.6%.

Breaking it down by major categories of products and services, the largest price increases in December 2024, compared to the previous month, were observed in the following groups:

  • Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.3%)
  • Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and health (0.2%)
  • Recreation and culture (0.1%)
  • Equipment for the apartment and current maintenance (1.0%)
  • Clothing and footwear and restaurants and hotels (0.8%)
  • Transport (0.4%)

On the other hand, prices decreased in the group of Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages by 0.3%.

Most other products and services remained largely unchanged.
