Serbia’s consumer prices rise 0.5% in October with annual inflation reaching 2.8%

According to the Statistical Office of Serbia, consumer prices in October 2025 increased by 0.5% compared to September. Compared to October 2024, prices were up 2.8%, while in relation to December 2024, they rose 2.4% on average.

By major product and service groups, the largest monthly price increases were recorded in housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+4.5%), clothing and footwear (+1.2%), restaurants and hotels (+0.8%), recreation and culture (+0.5%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and health (+0.4% each), as well as education (+0.1%).

Price decreases were recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (–0.9%), furnishings and household maintenance (–0.3%), and transport (–0.2%). Prices in other categories remained largely unchanged.

Year-on-year, the highest inflation was recorded in the coffee, tea, and cocoa subgroup (+23.2%), while the largest annual decline was seen in the vegetables subgroup (–14.9%).
