Serbia’s exports rose 6% and imports 4.1%.

Based on a flash estimate of Serbia’s Statistical Office, real GDP grew 0.7% y-o-y in Q2 2013.  Seasonally-adjusted, industrial production went up by 4.5% in June. Relative to the same month of the previous year, it rose 3.7%. Y-o-y, manufacturing edged up 1.6%, mining 0.1% and electricity, gas and steam supply 15.4%.

Seasonally-adjusted, manufacturing increased by 3.3% in June. Within manufacturing, the strongest impetus to total industry came from motor vehicles, while the largest negative contribution originated from food and beverages.    Y-o-y, retail trade turnover went down by 6.1% in real terms.

Based on the Statistical Office’s seasonally-adjusted data, euro-denominated commodity exports rose 6% and imports 4.1%. Y-o-y, exports increased 17.7% and imports 1.1%.
