Serbia’s GDP rises 2.1% in Q2 2025, construction sector sees sharp decline

The Republic Statistical Office reported that Serbia’s real gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.1 percent in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year. Seasonally adjusted data indicate a 1.1 percent increase in GDP compared to the first quarter of 2025.

By sector, the strongest growth was observed in industry, water supply and wastewater management, and the information and communications sector. In contrast, the construction sector experienced a significant decline of 16.1 percent in real GDP.
