At the end of December, JP Putevi Srbije announced a tender for the development of a project to obtain a building permit for the Gružanski Corridor, a major high-speed road connecting Kragujevac to Mrcajevac. The tender, originally set to close on February 3, has now been extended to February 10.
The project, estimated at 333.3 million dinars (approximately 2.9 million EUR), will see the construction of a 36 km expressway. This road will be a four-lane connection between Kragujevac and the Moravian Corridor, featuring four interchanges, 30 bridge structures, 24 underpasses and overpasses, as well as the Vučkovica tunnel, which will be 670 meters long.
The road will traverse several municipalities, including Kragujevac, Čačak and Knić, with various notable features along the way, such as crossings over rivers and the construction of viaducts and bridges.
The project is part of the broader investment in Serbia’s infrastructure, with the high-speed road expected to be completed by 2028. The tender for the construction and design services of this project, part of a broader 68.9 billion dinar investment, was initially announced in early 2024.
