The President of the Serbian Assembly, Ana Brnabić, announced that the country’s IT sector continues to experience dynamic growth. In the first five months of this year, exports from the ICT sector exceeded 1.8 billion euros, marking a 17% increase compared to the same period last year. If this trend continues, total exports for the year could approach 5 billion euros. For context, just 13 years ago, the sector’s annual exports were 375 million euros—thirteen times less than today.
Brnabić also stated that, in her role as Assembly President, she will soon encourage members of the Parliamentary Committee for Education, Science, Technological Development, and Information Society to visit ongoing construction projects of new science and technology parks in Kragujevac, Čačak, Niš, and Kruševac.
She concluded by emphasizing the need to move forward with productive work and unity, putting an end to divisions and collaborating with President Aleksandar Vučić on the new development plan, Serbia 2035.
