Serbia’s oil sector has submitted a request to the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for another suspension of sanctions, the company confirmed.
At the end of July, the US Department of the Treasury issued a special license that postponed the full implementation of sanctions targeting NIS and allowed the company to continue its operations without disruption until August 27. This marks the fifth time that the enforcement of US sanctions related to Russia’s stake in NIS has been delayed.
