Seven major Serbian public enterprises—Srbijašume, Srbijavode, Putevi Srbije, Službeni glasnik, Skijališta Srbije, Nacionalni park Fruška gora, and Nacionalni park Đerdap—will change their legal status from public enterprises to limited liability companies (DOO) starting in 2024, according to a new law.

Together, these companies employ 6,213 people and have a combined capital of 232.8 billion dinars. In 2024, their combined revenue reached €665.4 million.

This transformation follows the Law on Management of State-Owned Companies, adopted officially in late 2023, which requires public enterprises to convert into either joint-stock companies or limited liability companies.

The government has officially approved these legal status changes, which have been published by the Business Registers Agency. Despite the change, these companies will continue their operations in the same manner as before, only under the new legal form as DOOs instead of public enterprises.
