Aleksandar Šalipur, Commercial Director of Srbijašume, announced that the company’s firewood prices are 50% lower than the market average, with one cubic meter priced at 5,269 dinars (including VAT). As part of the government’s support measures, from September to March, the most vulnerable households can purchase firewood for as little as 2,900 dinars per cubic meter.

Šalipur explained that individuals can buy up to 15 cubic meters of firewood from Srbijašume, while those eligible for preferential prices may purchase up to 10 cubic meters.

The first preferential category includes pensioners, people with disabilities, war veterans, military invalids, and families of fallen soldiers, who receive about a 15% discount, paying 4,478 dinars per cubic meter.

The second category covers socially vulnerable citizens, such as welfare recipients, who can buy a cubic meter of firewood at 2,900 dinars (including VAT).

The third category includes the most socially disadvantaged families, who receive firewood free of charge, based on lists prepared in cooperation with local social welfare centers.

Regarding the purchase process, Šalipur said that contact information for the company’s call center in Belgrade, as well as all forest administrations and management units across Serbia, is available on the official Srbijašume website, where citizens can obtain detailed instructions.
