Italian automotive giant Stellantis, which owns Fiat, is offering its employees work in Serbia at a daily rate of €70, including meals, according to Corriere della Sera and Nova ekonomija. This is the third such offer this year as the Kragujevac plant ramps up production and aims to meet vehicle output targets.

The Kragujevac factory, currently employing around 2,800 workers, plans to introduce a third shift in October, requiring an additional 800 employees. The plant produces the Fiat “Grande Panda” in hybrid and fully electric versions.

Previous plans included transferring around 100 workers from Stellantis’ Moroccan factory for training and temporary work in Kragujevac. The initiative aims to increase production from 180 to 500 vehicles per day.
