The company “Strela-Obrenovac”, owned by Miroslav Nikolić and part of the “Srboexport” group, has become the sole owner of the transport company “Lastra” from Lazarevac. According to the Serbian Business Registers Agency, as of June 18, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, and the National Employment Service, which collectively held 22.84% of “Lastra,” were removed from the ownership registry.
Previously, “Strela-Obrenovac” held 77.16% of the shares and is now registered as the full owner.
While the Ministry of Economy’s portal states that the sale agreement of “Lastra” is published, no details have been made available regarding the purchase price. According to the public privatization call, “Lastra” was valued at approximately 4.98 million euros, with an initial capital sale price set at about 1.14 million euros. The tender took place on April 25, but no official results have been announced since.
In addition, “Strela-Obrenovac” also became the majority owner of Belgrade’s transport company “Lasta,” having secured acceptance from all state stakeholders for its takeover offer of 655.49 dinars per share.
“Strela-Obrenovac” was previously part of a consortium that won a ten-year, 589 million euro contract for suburban and local transport lines in Belgrade in September 2023, though the Belgrade Assembly canceled that contract in March.
Despite this setback, “Strela-Obrenovac” celebrated a success in mid-May when, alongside “Lasta” and “Lastra,” it secured a city transport contract in Belgrade valued at one billion euros.
