With the delegations of Iraq, India, Syria and Equatorial Guinea, it was agreed to further strengthen cooperation and implementation of joint projects in the field of agriculture, as well as further talks on the export of our food to those markets.
According to the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Serbian delegation is planned to travel to Baghdad next month, and after a meeting with the President of Ghana held during the 60th anniversary of the first summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade, it was agreed to send an invitation to the Minister of Agriculture of Serbia.
Also, the invitation to come to our country and get acquainted with the potentials of Serbian agriculture and opportunities for mutual cooperation, will be sent to the Minister of Agriculture of Syria, after the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country.
Minister Nedimovic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Fuad Hussein. After 40 years of absence of Serbian agricultural products from the Iraqi market, the two ministers agreed that our delegation will travel to Baghdad next month with the aim of improving trade.
The delegations of India, Syria and Equatorial Guinea expressed great interest in Serbian agricultural products, as well as Serbia’s experience in agricultural land management and agriculture in general.
At the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, it was agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the production of agricultural machinery and tractors, as a direct consequence of the growing demand and interest of African countries in this area of Serbian industry.
Potentials for improving cooperation are the export of berries to the Indian market, exchange of experiences in the field of agricultural sciences and technologies, introduction to market requirements, food quality and safety standards, support for investing Indian capital in the agricultural sector of Serbia and others, eKapija reports.
