The Government of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a new decree on subsidizing the purchase of new electric and hybrid vehicles, from 250 to 5,000 euros, depending on the type and power of the vehicle.
Those who want to buy a new electric moped or light tricycle will be able to apply for 250 euros of state aid, while subsidies for motorcycles, heavy tricycles, as well as light and heavy quadricycles amount to 500 euros, the decree states.
The state has determined subsidies in the amount of 5,000 euros for the purchase of new passenger and cargo vehicles on exclusively electric drive, while the subsidies for the purchase of hybrid vehicles are somewhat smaller.
For plug-in hybrids, those that have an external electricity connection and whose carbon dioxide emissions do not exceed 50 g / km, the state allocates subsidies in the amount of 3,500 euros, while for ordinary hybrids, which do not have an electricity connection and have carbon dioxide emissions less than 140 g / km, subsidies amount to 2,500 euros.
Entrepreneurs, natural and legal persons have the right to state incentives, and the request for subsidized purchase of a new vehicle in accordance with the new regulation is submitted to the Ministry of Environmental Protection by October 31, 2022, writes the Energy Portal. All funds will be paid in dinars at the official average daily exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia, on the day of payment of the purchase price, the decree reads, Dnevnik reports.
