Vouchers for subsidized vacations will be available in 2025, with a planned minimum value of 10,000 dinars, according to Uroš Kandić, State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Youth.

Given the growing interest among domestic tourists in the vouchers for 2025, which have sparked significant attention from both tourism professionals and hospitality providers, Kandić confirmed that the 2025 budget will support subsidized vacations within Serbia. This initiative is aimed at both domestic tourists and the development of rural tourism capacities. Kandić emphasized that these efforts are key to improving the competitiveness of the domestic tourism industry and boosting the number of both domestic and foreign visitors.

In addition to financial support through vouchers and aid to rural farms, investments will also be directed toward enhancing domestic tourist infrastructure. Kandić confirmed that the voucher value would not be less than 10,000 dinars, with an initial budget allocation of 500 million dinars—half a billion dinars dedicated to subsidies. He also mentioned that there is potential for an increase in the number of vouchers, depending on macroeconomic indicators and budgetary circumstances.

It is important to note that the Serbian Ministry of Tourism and Youth launched this subsidized travel project a decade ago. Over the years, it has become a vital support for domestic tourism. Restaurants participating in the subsidy program have seen remarkable results, particularly in the off-season. During September and October, the capacity utilization reached nearly 100% of the usual maximum, while in November, it was around 70%. This program allows restaurant owners to achieve significant income through better planning and full capacity utilization throughout the year, providing stability even in traditionally slower tourist periods.
