Tadic arrives in Skopje, confers with Ivanov

Serbian President Boris Tadic began on Friday an official two-day visit to Macedonia by conferring with his Macedonian counterpart Gjorge Ivanov.

After the official welcoming ceremony in front of the Macedonian presidential building, with the playing of the two countries’ anthems and full military honors, the two presidents began a private meeting.

The meeting of the two countries’ delegations will follow, after which Tadic and his host Ivanov will address the media.

The Serbian delegation also includes Agriculture Minister Dusan Petrovic and Assistant Foreign Minister Zdravko Ponos.
During the day, Tadic will also confer with Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski, the president’s press service released.

The Serbian president will also take part in a Serbian-Macedonian Business Forum and lay a wreath at the tomb of Goce Delcev.

On Saturday, Tadic will visit the Serbian cultural-education and information center Vuk Karadzic and the St. Cirilo and Metodije elementary school in Kuceviste, and lay a wreath at the Zebrnjak monument and sign the memorial book.
