Vladimir Lučić, CEO of Telekom Srbija, announced that the company’s arrangement with the US Exim Bank is expected to be finalized by November. He emphasized that American support is crucial for the development of Serbia’s 5G network and highlighted Telekom Srbija’s role as a leading telecommunications operator in the Western Balkans, collaborating also with the European Investment Bank.

Lučić noted that Telekom plans to invest in artificial intelligence, cyber security, and partnerships with major digital companies such as Amazon and Meta. The company is currently supporting 24 startups with high growth potential, aiming for some to reach valuations over one billion dollars.

Additionally, Beograd will serve as the headquarters for “Newsmax” operations in Eastern Europe, with expansion starting in Poland in April next year, marking Telekom Serbia’s broader regional media ambitions.
