Ten million euros from the state will be transferred to the accounts of 309 Serbian sports clubs

The Minister of Finance, SiniĊĦa Mali, announced today that about 10 million euros, will be paid into the accounts of 309 sports clubs next week.
Mali said in the Serbian Parliament that a special decree for financial support to sports organizations would be adopted at tomorrow’s government session.
“It’s about karate, athletics, taekwondo, boxing, rowing, wrestling, kayaking, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo, archery, basketball, volleyball, water polo, handball. All clubs from the first and second leagues, women’s and men’s, he will receive financial assistance from the Serbian government,” Mali said.
The Minister of Finance said that another 150 thousand euros would be paid for the Paralympic sport.
“Huge support for our sport, our athletes, although there is still a great crisis caused by Covid-19. We are not giving up investing in sports, and not only in the sports infrastructure,” said Mali.
He reminded that the budget for 2022, which was adopted by the parliament yesterday, also allocated funds for the completion of the multifunctional hall on Kosutnjak, for the beginning of the construction of the shooting range on Careva Cuprija and various other projects.
Mali said that the construction of football stadiums throughout Serbia continues.
“It is important for us to show support to sports clubs in order to provide enough money for both equipment and sports competitions. For our young people to play sports and for Serbia to achieve even better results in all sports,” said Mali, Dnevnik reports.
