A plan of detailed regulation for the construction of the access road “Gornji Milanovac – Petlja Takovo” was presented in the Great Hall of the Municipality.
Director of the CIP Traffic Institute Mr. Milutin Ignjatovic and Mayor of the Municipality Dejan Kovacevic spoke about the characteristics of the route.
The entire route will consist of a section from “Tenk” to Klaticevo, 4.7 kilometers long and a reconstructed route from Klaticevo to Takovo, 5.3 kilometers long.
Mayor Dejan Kovacevic pointed out that the route was done very expertly, and that the economy has no objections, because the width of the roadway is sufficient for passing trucks.
“The plan is to suspend freight traffic through the city center after the construction of the gateway and to transfer it to the access road, to highway, so that our companies can adequately use the Milos Veliki highway, as the existing route, which is done. It is significant that the CIP has done more than what it has contracted and will complete the entire project documentation of the access road to the project for implementation”, Kovacevic said.
He also emphasized that the new law made the path from expropriation to construction much easier, since the amount of compensation for land on the route of the road itself is passed by the Tax Administration.
“What is enabled for citizens who are not satisfied with the amount of compensation is to ask for a higher price in court proceedings, if there is justification for it. Since in recent years we have been doing expropriation of land on 30 kilometers of highway passing through the municipality of Gornji Milanovac and at that time we had very few dissatisfied citizens, I believe we will not have any problem for these 4.7 kilometers. I believe that citizens will be satisfied with the price of land purchase, since the Tax Administration has a higher price than they really are”, president Kovacevic said, adding that the municipality receives all the money for the purchase of land from the Republic, because it is a first class B route, and that the maximum amount for construction of access road should be below 10 million euros.
The director of the CIP Traffic Institute, Mr. Milutin Ignjatovic, emphasized that the works should start in April, where the land is owned by the municipality, and that Milanovac will receive a road that will last, not 5, but 500 years.
“From the total of 10 kilometers, five kilometers is the existing road, which we will reconstruct, we will rectify the curves, expand, make the banks. The condition is that we will not deny any house access to the road. Today it was useful to hear the request of businessmen looking for the road to meet the heavy load capacity due to the tanker. We will not wait for that part, but we will start at this part where it can”, said Ignjatovic.
Director of Metalac and President of the Economic Council of the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac Dragoljub Vukadinovic said that he was very pleased with the presentation of the access road, which will meet the needs of the economy in terms of payload and number of vehicles.
“The highway does not mean much to us until we have access to the road, even for small vehicles, not to mention tank trucks, they are impossible to reach. It is very important for that construction to start in April or May. I have been waiting for this highway for 45 years, even then they said it would be in a couple of years, so we will wait a year and a half to finish the road. We, as Metalac, have conversations with foreign partners, but we always stumble around the answer to where our highway and railroads are. We do not have a rail connection, but it would be good if we had a highway and could continue our joint ventures as this city continued to expand and increase its population, and not reduce”, Vukadinovic pointed out for B92.
