Today, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, met with the President of the Chinese company “China Railway International Company” (CRIC) Yu Guodjeng and talked with him about the construction of the Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway, which she assessed as the most important strategic project for Earth.
“The construction of this high-speed railway is our most important project, I expect everything to be done on time and we are happy that next year we will travel from Belgrade to Novi Sad in less than half an hour in the fall,” she said, adding that all projects Serbia and China together realize the symbol of friendship and good relations between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo, the ministry announced.
Mihajlovic reminded that the ministry manages projects worth 15 billion euros, of which projects with China are worth seven billion euros.
The President of the Chinese company CRIC, Yu Guodjeng, thanked for the continuous support that the Government of Serbia and the Ministry provide to the Chinese contractor all the time, and expressed confidence that all works will be completed according to the agreed dynamics and European and world standards.
“I came to Serbia to see the dynamics and progress of the work on the ground. The dynamic plan is realistic and we will complete the work in accordance with the agreed deadlines. In accordance with the needs and current situation, we are reorganizing resources in the field, from labor, equipment and machinery, until the preparation of the material,” he said.
Mihajlovic gave the guest from China the alphabet in gold embroidery, the work of women who make traditional handicrafts as part of the Serbian cultural heritage within the initiative of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality, Ethno-Network and NALED “Let’s Employ 1,000 Women in Rural Areas”, Novi Magazin reports.
