China’s Zidjin plans to produce 90,000 tonnes of copper, 1,833 kilograms of gold and close to 12 tonnes of silver this year.
On December 18, 2018, Zidjin Company purchased a 63% stake in Bor Mining and Smelter Basin (RTB) for 350 million euros.
“In addition, Zidjin, which in January alone generated a net profit of 7.7 million euros, plans to produce 370,000 tonnes of sulfuric acid in the facilities of the former RTB this year,” Novosti reports.
According to the calculations, although they have invested very little so far, the Chinese plan to make a net profit of nearly 102 million euros this year.
The Chinese company plans to produce up to 200,000 tonnes of copper after the sixth year, as stipulated in the contract.
“For example, a year before the sale, with almost identical capacities, 43 thousand tonnes of copper, 700 kilograms of gold and about five tonnes of silver were produced in RTB, which practically means that Zidjin, with almost identical capacities, but with increase in wages to workers, doubled production,” they said, Novosti reports.
