The conclusion of an agreement on temporary employment between Serbia and the UAE is planned

Strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of Serbia and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emirates of the United Arab Emirates was the topic of a meeting between Minister Darija Kisic Tepavcevic and Abdulrahman Al Avar.
Having in mind that, according to estimates, more than 10,000 citizens of Serbia live and work in the UAE, the ministers agreed that there is interest in concluding an agreement on temporary employment between the two countries, it is stated on the website of the Ministry.
It was assessed at the meeting that in order to realize it, it is necessary to organize meetings between the two sides in the next period and start negotiations in order to harmonize the text of the agreement.
The agreement will provide greater security for workers, and the new UAE Labor Law, according to UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emirates Abdulrahman Al Avar, will increase the standard of protection for workers, reduce the possibility of abuse by employers and make information on job vacancies more accessible and more transparent.
He pointed out that, in accordance with the good bilateral relations between Serbia and the UAE, they are ready to intensify cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ Affairs and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, eKapija reports.
