The desire for purchase of the real estate in Serbia is growing

The total amount of money used for the purchase of real estate in Serbia in the first quarter of this year amounted to 1.64 billion euros, which represents an increase of 2.6 percent compared to the same period last year, while the most expensive price per square meter was 11,474 euros, the Republic Geodetic institute (RGZ) announced today

The most expensive apartment, with a total area of ​​383 square meters, was paid 2.6 million euros.

The total number of sales on the real estate market in the first quarter of this year in Serbia was 29,275, which is 9.5 percent less than in the first quarter of 2022.

In Belgrade, 15.4 million euros more than in the same period last year were set aside for real estate transactions, and it was in Belgrade that the largest number of sales contracts was recorded, 6,924 of them.

Where did the real estate come from?

The amount of money on the real estate market in Belgrade was 828.4 million euros in the first three months of 2023, while it was 813 million euros in the same period last year.

Based on the collected data from sales contracts, in the first quarter of 2023, seven percent of real estate was paid from credit funds, which is five percentage points less compared to the same period of the previous year.

Loans are used to pay for apartments, and in the first three months of this year, 18 percent of apartments in Serbia were paid for with them, which is 10 percentage points less compared to the first quarter of 2022.
