The Development Fund of Serbia approved another 16.6 million euros to help the economy due to COVID-19

At the last session of the Management Board, the Development Fund of Serbia approved 265 requests for loans and other financial assistance to the economy due to the pandemic, with a total value of 16.6 million euros.
The statement of that institution states that most aid was approved in the form of loans to legal entities and entrepreneurs for liquidity, based on financial support in the conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the total amount of 14.83 million euros.
In addition, 15 loans in the total amount of 8.3 million euros were approved for the liquidity of economic entities engaged in tourism, catering and passenger traffic, as well as one long-term loans for investments worth 250 thousand euros.
Through investment loans for legal entities and entrepreneurs under the Program for Encouraging Entrepreneurship Development through Development Projects in 2020, three loans in the amount of 647.5 thousand euros and slightly more than 20 million diaries in grants were approved.
At the same session, the Fund rejected 21 requests for financial support in the conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic for legal entities and entrepreneurs and three requests for liquidity for economic entities engaged in tourism, catering and passenger transport, Nova Ekonomija reports.
